THE MISADVENTURES OF MAX

About the Author Emma O'Driscoll

After school, Emma O' Driscoll took a year out from college to spend some time on her music. During that year she worked as a singer for Bunratty Castle and a special needs assistant for Our lady Queen of Peace school.

The same day, the following year, Emma registered for college in Mary Immaculate and auditioned for RTE 'Pop Stars'. Within three months of her studies, she was called for the band 'SIX'.

'SIX' went on tour with Westlife in the UK and Scandinavia as well as doing two of their own tours around Ireland.

The band's first single, 'Whole Lot Of Loving', is the fastest-selling single in Irish history. 'SIX' released two multi-platinum selling singles and had a top five album in Ireland and a No.1 single in Norway and New Zealand.

When 'SIX' decided to go their own way, Emma did some work for RTE which led her to working as a radio DJ - first on RTÉ's reality TV programme 'Inside Charity 252' and then on Limerick's Live 95 FM. Whilst working in 95fm, she returned to Our Lady Queen of Peace as a special needs assistant. Every Christmas up until last year, Emma also took part in the Limerick Pantos, 'Snow White', 'Cinderella', 'Aladdin', Robinson Crusoe & ‘Babes in the Wood’.

During her time in 95fm, Emma auditioned for RTE Young Peoples Department as a Children’s Television Presenter. Consequently, Emma got the job as TV Presenter of the 'DEN' tots on RTE where she still remains to date.

Emma has also been involved in other television programmes including 'Celebrity Bainisteoir', 'Jigs & Reels', Bandstand and the Dance Party and has presented 'The Buzz' and the 'Jam Musical' for RTE.
